K-Plus Commitment to Safety

Safety is a condition of employment, and all employees must exhibit a conscientious assumption of health and safety responsibility. People are the most essential element of our Safety program because concerned, involved, and trained employees are K-Plus’s greatest resource.

Safety is the result of careful attention to all K-Plus operations by those who are directly and indirectly involved. K-Plus is committed to making sure that all of our jobs and work locations are safe and therefore, we strive for the highest safety standards on all of our projects.

Employees at all levels work diligently to execute K-Plus’s policy of maintaining occupational safety and health. Our safety program has been developed to assure compliance with federal, state, local, and client rules and regulations and to protect the health and safety of our employees.

osha and Sharp certification

The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. K-Plus has been honored to be accepted into SHARP by OSHA since 2013 as a model for worksite safety and health.

K-Plus Industrial Service’s OSHA recordable rate for the past year: 0.

And we aim to keep it that way.

substance free workplace

It’s no secret that drug and alcohol abuse is one our nation’s most serious problems. This is the case in the workplace as well. Almost 40% of industrial fatalities and 50% of work-related injuries are linked to drug and alcohol impairment.

It is K-Plus’s belief that we will have a better workforce if we discourage the use of any illicit drugs and alcohol at levels which are still detectable in blood/urine when employees report to work. K-Plus has an extensive drug/alcohol program with testing for applicants, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, random selection, and scheduled periodic.
